Yearning for good music

Has anyone been listening to any good music lately?  Something different, fresh, worthy of a few head nods and bum shakes?  I was saddened by the death of MJ, and the thought of all the good music he made had me really thinking that there isn’t currently a lot of good music available.  Sure there are some artist that I like…but is there anyone that I really LOVE?  I LOVED MJ’s music!  I mean come on…every song on his albums were JAMS!  I’m always in search of a good artist with a message and a great sound and recently there have been a few artists that have come along and I’ve thought, “hmmm, I’m really feeling this persons vibe” (Corrinne Bailey Rae, Adriana Evans, Zap Mama, Raul Midon, Amel Larrieux). But back in the day our lists of our favorite artist were endless.  The list would go on and on and on. I mean my list ran the gamut too.  From Duran Duran and Guns -n- Roses to De La Soul and Guy. Ha! I’m dating myself now.  So what’s up y’all…do any of you have any artist that you currently really LOVE?  I’d like to know because I’m in search of some good new and fresh music.
